Troops in Pakistan have discovered the bodies of at least 13 soldiers in North-West Frontier Province on the Afghan border.
The area has been the centre of recent clashes between the army and militants.
A source in a military hospital where the bodies were taken told the BBC they were at least two days old.
The area is a hotbed of Taleban militancy, and has seen growing violence directed at the Pakistani government and its forces.
